Our School Rules


1.Flag Raising Ceremony
1.1Pupils who are Singapore citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge. Pupils must take the pledge with the right fist placed over the heart.
1.2Attendance at the Flag Raising Ceremony is compulsory for all pupils.
1.3 All pupils must be in school by 7.30 a.m. on school days. 

2.Physical Appearance
2.1Pupils are to wear the prescribed school uniform and modification to the uniform is not allowed.  
2.2Pupils must be in full uniform at all times when reporting to school for lessons and other activities organised by the school.
2.3 Pupils must wear their PE attire during PE lessons. Pupils are strongly encouraged to change into their school uniform by the end of recess for hygiene purposes. 
2.4 Pupils must be neatly groomed at all times. 
2.5 Male pupils must be neat in appearance, clean-shaven and no facial hair is allowed. 
2.6 Boys must keep their hair above their collars and ears. The fringe must not cover the forehead.  
2.7Girls are to keep their hair short. Girls with shoulder-length and long hair are to tie / plait their hair using black ribbons / hair clips / hair bands. The fringe must be above the eyebrows. 
2.8Pupils are not permitted to dye their hair. 
2.9 Fingernails must be kept short. No nail polish is permitted. 
2.10 Pupils must wear black canvas shoes. Pupils are not allowed to wear ‘designer’ label shoes. Pupils are not permitted to be in slippers or sandals without valid reason. 
2.11 
Pupils must wear black socks.
3Jewellery
3.1For safety reasons, pupils should not wear jewellery or accessories to school. Girls are only permitted to wear a pair of small, plain gold ear studs/earrings. No protruding plastic ear stick is allowed.
3.2No bracelets, rings, fancy watches and necklaces / gold chains are permitted. No chains are allowed to secure wallets / purses to pockets.

4Attendance and Decorum
4.1All pupils must show respect and obey school staff, prefects and monitors.
4.2Pupils must not use vulgarities under any circumstances. 
4.2Pupils must eat and drink only in the school canteen.
4.3Pupils who are absent from school are required to submit a medical certificate from their parents / guardians to the form teacher upon their return to school. 
4.4 Pupils are not allowed to leave the school compound during curriculum time, before remedial lessons and during CCA without official approval from their teachers. 
4.5 Pupils leaving the school early must be accompanied by their parents / guardians and reasons for leaving the school must be recorded on the 'Permission to Leave Early’ form available at  the General Office. 
4.6 Pupils must not loiter in shopping centres and at void decks and playgrounds in their school uniform after school. 














5Use of Mobile Phones in School
5.1Pupils must switch off their mobile phones during curriculum time.
5.2Pupils can only use their mobile phones after school hours (1.40 p.m. / 4.00 p.m.) at the school canteen (or General Office) to contact their  parents/guardians.
5.3 Pupils are responsible for their mobile phones. The school will not be responsible for any loss or theft of mobile phones. 

6Electronic Gadgets / Toys / Trading Cards
6.1Pupils are not allowed to bring electronic gadgets / toys /trading cards and expensive items to school.
6.2Pupils using electronic gadgets / toys /trading cards in class / CCA / remedial / supplementary / enrichment lessons will have their items confiscated by the teachers. The item will only be returned to the parent / guardian at the Parent-Teacher Conference.
6.3The school will not be responsible for any loss or theft of expensive items brought to school.  
6.4 All students are not allowed to have in their possession weapon. They are also not allowed to bring any weapon-like item which is used or intended to be used to cause harm to others.
Major Offences
Pupils who commit the following offences will be given a "FAIR" grade for conduct and their record of offence will be submitted in the School Offence Module: 
1. Cheating in examinations* 
*Note: For any cheating offence, besides awarding the "FAIR" grade conduct in the report book, pupils involved in the offence will also be given "0" mark for the affected paper. 
2. Theft 
3. Assault / Fighting 
4. Vandalism
5. Bullying 
Please note that recipients of the MOE and school awards will require a minimum conduct grade of "GOOD" for Overall Conduct Grade.
