P1 OLE Hay Dairies
The P1 pupils visited Hay Dairies on 21 February 2019 as part of the English programme. They learn all about goats and farms in Singapore. They had the opportunity to watch the milking process and feed the goats. At the end of the trip, each pupil was also given a bottle of goat’s milk to drink.
Toa Payoh Town Central
The OLE is in line with the big book “To Town” where pupils learn to:
- Identify the people who serve the neighbourhood and describe their roles
- Identify the places around the neighbourhood
- Recognize that every occupation is important and everyone in the community plays an important role

The Butterfly Lodge
Our Primary 2 pupils visited the Butterfly Lodge at Oh Farms on 4 May 2018. They learned all about butterflies and their importance in nature. The pupils went hunting for eggs and caterpillars. They were also thrilled when they got the chance to hold some caterpillars and stick insects. It was a new experience for many of our pupils. This OLE was part of the STELLAR book, “A Butterfly is Born”.
Visit To The Chinese Opera Institution
P2 pupils attended a workshop where they learn more about the Chinese culture. The OLE was part of the English STELLAR lesson on ‘Chinese Opera Games’ and the integration of Social Studies book “New Girl in Town”. They got the opportunity to put on interesting costumes and learn some opera movements.
