STAR Leadership Programme

Pupils who show greater aptitude will be identified and developed further via the Star Leadership Programme. This selected group of pupils will undergo additional leadership training and workshops to sharpen their leadership competencies. The focus on leadership practices are key ideas extracted from Kouzes and Posner’s The Student Leadership Challenge Model.

The aims is to prepare pupils for the future by equipping them with relevant leadership competencies and instil sound values through authentic and meaningful platforms.

Prefects Investiture 2019

The Prefects Investiture Ceremony is held yearly so that the school can witness the appointment and graduation of the student leaders. During the investiture, the former Head and Vice-Head prefects would also conduct a ceremonious handover of their duties to the current Head and Vice-Head prefects. The ceremony provides recognition for prefects who have displayed good leadership qualities and acknowledgement of their contributions and dedication in serving in the school.

P4 and P5 Hosting Visitors from Hong Kong

On Wednesday,28 March 2018, a group of students and teachers from S.K.H. Yan Laap Primary School in Hong Kong visited Farrer Park Primary School. Some of our prefects from P4 and P5 hosted the guests. The prefects taught our guests to play Singapore’s traditional games like Chapteh, Adi Puli Aattam and Congkak. The guests also tried some of our traditional food like fruit cakes, sesame balls, vadai and kueh lapis. They also had the opportunity to observe some of the P5 and P6 lessons. It was a wonderful time of learning for our guests from Hong Kong and our pupils.
